  • 1 cup boiling water
  • 2 vanilla chai tea bags
  • 1 cup milk (dairy, oat, or protein shake)
  • 1-2 tablespoons sweetener (honey, sugar, or maple syrup)
  • 2 tablespoons vanilla extract (optional)
  • Ice cubes
  • Whipped cream (optional)

Method
 

  1. Pour boiling water over tea bags in a heatproof container
  2. Let steep for 5-7 minutes, adjusting time for desired strength
  3. Remove tea bags
  4. Stir in sweetener and vanilla extract until dissolved
  5. Add milk and stir to combine
  6. Chill in the refrigerator for 20 minutes or use ice cubes when serving
  7. Serve over ice, garnished with whipped cream if desired
