Ingredients
  

  • ¾ cup water (for lemonade)
  • ¼ cup freshly squeezed lemon juice
  • 2 tbsp maple syrup
  • 1 tsp matcha powder
  • ¼ cup hot water (75-80°C)
  • Ice cubes
  • Lemon slices (for garnish)

Method
 

  1. Whisk water and lemon juice
  2. Stir in maple syrup until dissolved
  3. Chill lemonade mixture in fridge
  4. Sift matcha powder into a small bowl
  5. Add hot water and whisk until frothy
  6. Pour chilled lemonade over ice in a glass
  7. Top with matcha mixture and stir gently
  8. Add lemon slice for garnish

Notes

Use fresh lemons for bright acidity
Adjust sweetness with more maple syrup
Avoid boiling water for matcha to prevent bitterness
Layer matcha over lemonade for visual effect
Agave syrup is a good maple substitute
