Homemade Raspberry Iced Tea: The Perfect Summer Sip

A refreshing homemade raspberry iced tea made with black tea, tart raspberry syrup, and cold water. Perfectly balanced, fruity, and easy to customize for your summer sipping pleasure!

Ingredients
  

  • 10-12 black tea bags
  • 4 cups boiling water
  • 3 cups cold water
  • 1 ½ cups raspberry syrup
  • Fresh raspberries and/or mint leaves (optional, for garnish)

Method
 

  1. In a large pitcher, add 10-12 black tea bags
  2. Pour 4 cups of boiling water over the tea bags
  3. Steep for 5 minutes
  4. Remove the tea bags and stir in 1 ½ cups raspberry syrup
  5. Allow the tea to cool to room temperature
  6. Add 3 cups cold water and refrigerate for at least 2 hours or until chilled
  7. Serve over ice with optional fresh raspberries and/or mint leaves for garnish

Notes

Homemade raspberry syrup can be made by simmering pureed raspberries with sugar until reduced
Adjust syrup quantity to taste for custom sweetness
Store leftovers in a sealed container in the fridge for up to 3 days
For a spiced twist, add a cinnamon stick to the brewing tea
