Method
- In a large pitcher, add 10-12 black tea bags
- Pour 4 cups of boiling water over the tea bags
- Steep for 5 minutes
- Remove the tea bags and stir in 1 ½ cups raspberry syrup
- Allow the tea to cool to room temperature
- Add 3 cups cold water and refrigerate for at least 2 hours or until chilled
- Serve over ice with optional fresh raspberries and/or mint leaves for garnish
Notes
Homemade raspberry syrup can be made by simmering pureed raspberries with sugar until reduced
Adjust syrup quantity to taste for custom sweetness
Store leftovers in a sealed container in the fridge for up to 3 days
For a spiced twist, add a cinnamon stick to the brewing tea
