Ingredients
Method
- Brew two fresh shots of espresso using your coffee machine.
- Stir the sugar into the hot espresso immediately until it is completely dissolved.
- Set the sweetened espresso aside to cool slightly.
- Pour the ice-cold skim milk into a tall, narrow glass or container.
- Use a handheld milk frother to agitate the milk at an angle for approximately 60 seconds until the volume has doubled and a firm foam has formed.
- Gently pour the thick frothed milk over the espresso shots, allowing the foam to layer perfectly on top.
Notes
Always use skim milk or 1% milk as lower fat content helps the foam hold its structure. Ensure your milk is ice-cold directly from the refrigerator for the best foaming results. For an extra refreshing experience, chill your serving glass in the freezer for ten minutes before assembly.
