Easy Cinnamon Simple Syrup

A warm, aromatic cinnamon simple syrup made with water, sugar, and whole cinnamon sticks. Perfect for coffee, desserts, and mocktails. Ready in 12 minutes with 1 cup of syrup.

Ingredients
  

  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1/2 cup sugar (1/4 cup brown and 1/4 cup granulated, or 1/2 cup granulated)
  • 2 whole cinnamon sticks
  • 1/2 teaspoon pure/alcohol-free vanilla extract

Method
 

  1. Combine water, sugar, and cinnamon sticks in a saucepan
  2. Heat over medium heat until syrup simmers, whisking to dissolve sugar
  3. Simmer 2-3 minutes until sugar dissolves
  4. Remove from heat, stir in vanilla extract
  5. Strain through a fine mesh sieve
  6. Cool completely before storing

Notes

Use filtered water for clarity
Replace vanilla extract with alcohol-free version if needed
Store in airtight container (up to 2 weeks)
Add 1/2 tsp maple syrup for extra depth
Great for iced tea, coffees, or drizzling over fruit
