  • ½ cup fresh lime juice (from 4-5 medium limes)
  • ½ cup water

Method
 

  1. Gather all your ingredients for the lime simple syrup.
  2. Combine 1 cup granulated sugar, ½ cup fresh lime juice, and ½ cup water in a medium saucepan.
  3. Place the saucepan over medium-low heat on the stovetop.
  4. Stir the mixture continuously.
  5. Continue stirring until all the sugar has completely dissolved into the liquid.
  6. Once dissolved, immediately remove the saucepan from the heat source.
  7. Allow the lime simple syrup to cool for approximately 15 minutes at room temperature.
  8. Transfer the syrup to an airtight container and store it in the refrigerator.
